When it comes to stylish women’s jackets, sleeve and hem lengths vary wildly, so the best metric for finding your fit is by measuring your shoulders. Generally, if a jacket fits at the shoulders, the rest of it will also drape in a flattering way.

Another place to check is the sleeve length. Does the end of a full-length sleeve fall between your wrist and the first knuckle on your thumb? Then it fits you just right. Finally, you should check to make sure that the jacket zips, buttons, or otherwise closes comfortably at the widest part of your body.
